About
Chris Kling is a music producer, musician and sound engineer currently based close to Frankfurt, Germany. He also is the owner of Klangkantine Studios, a spacious 250m² multi-room recording studio that he is running together with his wife. Together with his team, he has worked on 500+ projects for regional and international artists and clients over the last years, mainly in music production but also running commercial audio projects through his company.
At the age of six he started learning the piano with a jazz pianist in New York, where he has passed his elementary school years. Later on, he picked up tenor-sax, guitar and singing and participated in many choirs, combos and big bands throughout his young years. In his early teens, he started continously building up his first studio setup leading to his first full album band production in 2005. In the same year Chris also took his A-level exams while being on the road with his band and was also working on several freelance audio productions. After subsequently following his other passion for world travelling and the studies of Cultural Anthropology, he decided to focus on music production completely in 2008 with the opening of Klangkantine Studios.
Since then, he continously worked on building and providing the ideal space, infrastructure and state of mind for musicians to perform at their best. Many artists and clients came to appreciate his intuitive approach to sound and producing, the ability to make them explore their limits alongside with his outstanding technical arrangement, recording and mixing skills.
